Well documented event.  I like the little snowballs leading to the shack, but is that a crack running just beyond the ATV?  That spooks a warm weather guy like me.  Oh yeah, great title... Mike

An annual event here.I had not noticed the  leading snowballs....maybe I would have chosen a different angle to better use them. That is a crack by the ATV....a good one(see photo at left arrow);this is not that dangerous but scary if you happen to be on the ice when the tide push provokes the crack with a bang.Scary is when these shacks are moved  farther back, closer to the channel area where the ice is thinner and you see open water at the back.....sort of calculated risk. That limo is used to travel back and forth to the shack but also to move it around on the ice in search of a better spot and when the ice builds up farther.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent

Taking ice fishing to a whole new comfort level! How about the satellite dish? Great capture! Yes, the crack is worrisome!

No TV but a radio and with the smart phones, these guys can browse Photo.Net and see pictures of their set-up;nice and warm also inside these and nothing more than a t-shirt needed to enjoy the fishing(see photo of inside that upscale yellow Bruins cabin) ..No worry about the crack as the ice in this area is now almost 12-in thick and punch-through not a problem for these small ATV...Shortly,we will see big pick-up trucks parked next to these shacks.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
