Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted January 22, 2016 Large view available. This alternative image displays more thorns than the original, yet it is busier than the other. Your comments are most helpful. Thanks. Larry Link to comment
hyde 0 Posted January 22, 2016 This is a fine image, but I prefer the previous version. In the previous one the stalks are more slender and also darker, giving more contrast. I also prefer the fact that there all the stalks and berries are within the frame. In this present one I find it disturbing that the stalk and the berry on the right protude beyond and get cut off. Best regards. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted January 22, 2016 Jon, Thanks for chiming in on this image. I fully agree with you. I printed both images and the first is by far more interesting and artistic. I appreciate your assessment. Larry Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 262 Posted January 23, 2016 The previous one was more crisp and brighter as it should be! Best regards PDE Link to comment
DavidTriplett 12,682 Posted January 24, 2016 Larry, I like the first one better, too. It has more contrast, and is sharper with more DoF. Some parts of this one are a little soft due to shallow DoF, and it just doesn't feel as intentional as #1. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted January 29, 2016 Tony, Thanks for your weighing in on this image. I like it because of the sharpness of the thorns; however, I actually prefer the previous image. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted January 29, 2016 Ruud, Thanks for your visit and comment. While I like this image, I prefer the simplicity and whiteness of the snow in the other one. I was testing out my new Lumix DMC-LX100 on both images. Thanks again for your comment. Larry Link to comment

krpradu 125 Posted January 31, 2016 Compare this two photos you did I may say that I like this one where snow is better seen in structure(eve darker that the other one),red is so good contrasting with white,Is true that right branch that is out the frame disturb a bit but can for sure easy removed,no problem.I like that is natural as in nature can be seen.best regards Link to comment
