BelaMolnar 2 Posted January 18, 2016 Classical effect of old type photography. Very nice. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted January 23, 2016 Very poor technical quality, it must have been shot with some cheaper mobile, the shepherd is looking right in the camera and the pole or whatever that vertical object is is distracting. Well composed only! Best regards PDE Link to comment
M_Lipakis 2 Posted January 23, 2016 Bella got this right Pierre. It's a classical effect exactly to make this image look old as if as it has been taken with from a mobile. I do like that the shepherd "participates" in the photo and i have cropped it to bring the pole at about the "golden ratio". Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Link to comment
morophaenixmau 0 Posted January 23, 2016 Wonderful old style bucolic image. Post production emphasizes emotion. Link to comment
MarieH 687 Posted February 2, 2016 I like it too, I think its well composed. There is the unfortunate pole but I can overlook it as the rest is truly harmonious. Nice sharp and bw tones. Link to comment
stephanie_c1 0 Posted February 2, 2016 i dont like the added blur effect and even without the pole its ok,,, what i want to address Pierres comment... how refreshing is your comment.. honesty goes a long way for me.. i wish more people would write what they are really feeling...we are just commenting on a photo not the person who took the photo... i wish i could get more comments like Pierres i really do .. and i wish i could say them too but i will be block by everyone ... M_Lipakis 2 Posted February 2, 2016 I totally agree with Stephanie. Initially i blocked Pierre as he was much too "soft" with his comments, praising everybody, and then after a sincere dialog i asked him to speak out his true opinion, no matter if i agree with him. I have thanked him for doing so and i hope to see more and more of critiques like this, not only from Pierre but from everybody (Dutch included). Cheer to that Pierre! Link to comment
