Wow, this shot has a very tangible atmosphere that's cold, isolated and dreary; and along with the fine detail and composition, it places the viewer right there with you.  I like how the water began to freeze on every semi-submerged branch and when the river dropped it left the ice suspended.  Well done, as always... Mike

Nice capture and presentation, well done.

I like the composition very much, the semi-submerged tree on the right lets the eye linger on the fine detail and admire the ice cling ons, before pointing us forward towards the misty depths.  Very atmospheric!

It can be a very dull and uninspiring time of year here in Michigan - and I haven't been pleased with almost every photo I've taken lately.  This shot was a redemption and a relief of sorts for me - giving just a bit of that old excitement with seeing and making a photograph.

Lot of water there and right tree with pieces of ice complete very well this composition.
