You couldn't have gotten any more detail in this image if you had used a powerful microscope!  But you didn't just capture the detail; you captured this gentleman's persona.  His facial expression indicates to me that he's quite straightforward and honest.

Please . . . do more portrait work!

A very strong image. I particularly like how you brought out the detail. Was this the specular  lighting, post-processing sharpening, or both?

The light was a simple flash on camera, Jim! The post-processing was with some Topaz adjust 5 dynamic pop filter as I can remember!
