Abstracts such as this one, Denuded, and Tracks on Tracks are excellent examples of how images can be appreciated literally as well as conceptually. Synthetic abstracts that are only remotely related, or not related at all, to a photographed subject--including my own submissions--do not have as great an impact for me. In addition, this is a particularly beautiful image. Congratulations on these three and past submissions. Hugh

Thank you for viewing and for the so kind observation on this and some of my other close-ups.Given that I deal basically with the same sceneries in my rather remote area,I try to add a few close-ups on each outing to thinker with when the weather keeps me inside;glad you like the resulting images.
