After the rain, the marshy beach crusted up with a thin and smooth

layer of ice leaving a velvetty surface.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

All of this series are good, but this one seems special to me.  Stunning colors, DOF and composition...  Mike

Thank you;this was the calm before the storm. All this is now covered as we are being hammered by heavy snow/high winds which shut down everything here.

And you captured it very well. The  large view is  necessary  to appreciate  the image  quality. A very good  shot.

Thank you! On cold days like this I would gladly go back to warmer places I have enjoyed....like Peru for example.

Really great foreground snow texture and color.  But you should take more care with the use of your polarizer so as not to create the unnatural black hole/banding effect in the sky.  While you may like the effect, many viewers recognize that this uneven polarization is an error.

Thank you for looking in and for the observation on this one.I appreciate your take on the use of the polarizer on a WA lense and agree that the banding, especially on clear skies is not that elegant and based your previous advise,I have shied away some/considerably on this.On cloudy skies as on this shot however, the banding is way less evident while the darker backdrop appears behind the clouds,a feature I particularly like as you know and as irritating as it might rightfully be to some,I really fail to see this anymore ''unatural'' than running water rendered silky under slow shutter speed for example....but that is me.
