Stillaguamish Flow B&W

With my new Tamron 150-600 I could zoom into this interesting flow.

Quite happy with the performance so far.

A strong and mysterious image. I like how you have composed this and the striking light that picks out the highlights against the dark flow of water. The contrast between the section of rough water at the top and the velvety smoothness of the bottom two-thirds of the picture gives life to the photo. It kind of depresses me that 32 people have viewed this picture and I'm the only one that has been moved so far to leave a comment on a picture that definitely deserves more attention.

Thanks Jack, this was my best shot from the first day and I got it with a bit of serendipity - I was on my way home back out a narrow mt. road when I came upon a recent double roll over wreak that had just jammed both lanes. I could see I wasn't going that way for at least an hour so I drove back up into the mountains 7-8 miles to a spot where I could walk in the snow along the river looking for interesting rocks/flows. When my feet got too cold I finally went back to the car, and drove home, but the backed up traffic moved at a crawl until we finally hit town. 

Serendipity it is. Some of my best shots come that way. This one was well worth the delay.
