Beautiful effect of isolation !

Greg, this has been a wonderful series, one that I have enjoyed very much. It has given me a lot to think about as I contemplate next autumn's photo opportunities. This image is a fitting finale, with lovely colors and depth. As I looked at the larger view, it occurred to me that an alternate presentation might be a tighter crop, offsetting the bright cluster in the frame. Here is my attempt. I don't know if it is better, just a bit different. Thank you for sharing.

Well, it was a beautiful Fall, not to mention prolific ;-).  Excellent isolation on this colorful branch, but I do like David's crop... Mike

Thanks for the suggestion. I wondered about cropping too, but then thought the theme should be more how this little bright spot stood out in the darkness.
