I took this backstage at a Nutcracker performance in 2010. I took

several photos of this actor as he went onto the stage. I liked his

dramatic appearance and how well this lent itself to a dark b&w

conversion.

'Couldn't agree more about it needing BW. Seems much stronger. Without the context of an actor appearing on stage - I don't know if I'd 'get it'. With that knowledge, the curtain obscuring part of the face makes sense, implies motion, etc. 'Rather engaging.
