Dead tree and hoodoos in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. Taken on a day with

slightly flat light. Comments, critiques, and ratings appreciated.

I love the colours and twisted textures of the dead tree and the backdrop of sheer rock cliffs add tremendously to the shot.

I would suggest (though I have no idea if it's possible) that if you could have achieved a slightly higher perspective, then the ensuing separation of the foreground tree would make it appear even more striking.  I sometimes wish I could haul along a step ladder myself : - )

Best Regards

Alf, thanks for the feedback. This image was made as-found along the trail. There really was no alternate perspective, and certainly no higher vantage point for these elements. Sometimes you just take them as they come. I would have liked better light than was available, too.
