Wonderfully flowing patterns, Tony. It's great how the flecks of foam reveal the swirling vortices of the river, like liquid galaxies.

Congratulations Tony for this great shot.

Knowing little about paintings art,I thought it is a part from the very famous painting, the shout.

Upon opening it I saw a marvelous reproduction of parts of that painting even in its colors.

Now knowing what it is I must suggest a square crop, to get rid of the lower part of the image to fly with it the highest sky.

Added to my favourites, and would be happy to rate it seven.

Long Swirl Disturbance? ;-)  Wow, this is as much art as photograph, I'm reminded of "Starry Night" by Van Gogh.  Well done... Mike

Tony,   The detail in the swirls is amazing.  Now you are creating images to compete with those 50 great ones you sent in your e-mail.  The tiny yellow and red offerings really make this image work.  Superb!  Did you use your focus stacking on this one?   Larry

Saad - thanks for the high rating. I have not put any of my images for rating recently for reasons too complicated to describe except to repeat what a photographer here at Photo.net said: "it is like taking your baby and placing it in the lion's cage and hope they are not hungry. (*_*).  Re the square crop, I definitely see that as a 2nd image. 

Mike - I like your definition of LSD.

 

Larry - no focus stack here. I was high enough (see photo with bridge) and looking down using the hyper-focal technique for focusing. 

 

Jack - I like the idea of a liquid galaxy. I was struggling with the title and now I have liquid for thought.

Thanks heaven there are so bright persons to correct our faults,I resembled the shot to a painting,and a colleague here have corrected the name of it,The Starry Night.
