This image has held my attention for quite a while. I am drawn to the fire and the smoke. The man is an important element in this image for me and to make it even more interesting is that there is a visual perception that he is on fire or if not on fire, he is now burning slowly. 

Because the sky is so light, it made me wonder if I would have cropped about 66% of the sky ending up with a square image.  But there was that desert cactus shaped plume of fire and smoke that I would miss. In the end, I am undecided whether to crop or leave the image in its original.

Under the two scenarios, it is still an exceptional image.
