The splash of color is wonderful!  And I like that it's not centered.  Is that green sprig in the foreground part of the flowering plant?  If not, it might have been slightly improved to remove it prior to making the exposure.

All of the green you see is part of the California Poppy plant, which is protected under California law. I couldn't touch it even if I wanted to.
