This one immediately attracted my attention. It seems to fall midway between photography and a beautifully detailed drawing, perhaps an illustration for a particularly good children's story. There's a kind of gentle strength to it that I find most attractive; you can really feel the lingering softness of a late fall day.

Thanks for your comment Jack.  I like the geometry and yes, one can imagine an almost life-like presence in the fallen tree.  The Fall light and lack of dense foliage make this landscape wonderful for photography.  Interesting, the older I get, the more I notice and appreciate this stuff.
