Member69643 251 Posted October 30, 2015 This is a wonderful, honest, pure shot showing both humanity at its most animal, and, with the smile on her face, humanity at its most civilized. Well done. LOVE that it was shot on film too. Perfect for this subject. I might crop it a bit more to get rid of the guy's hand on left, but otherwise, superb. Link to comment

frigo 4,155 Posted October 31, 2015 Thank you for the kind appreciation in spite of the so-so quality of the scan off a small print.Back then, film was the medium and processing was not always the best but the subject matter was as you note. When I cropped this,I decided to leave the hand in to make up for the headless bodies in the background. As you well know, candid shots like this are not rehearsed and it is /was difficult to isolated the subject amidst the crowd always present in these well populated villages, but the reward was great when one could be granted that instant communicative look into the camera.Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
