A huge tonal range, if i remember corret it was around 5,5 F stop. I

wanted to achieve a blend of the tranquil mountain water vs the

strong light and colors...but maybe to much contrast (with velvia)?

Atle,the totally blown out highlites are just too overpowering here,you have lost too much detail to make this image work well.

This composition works much better than the later upload. The spread of the rocks works really well here to draw the views into the photo. I have to agree with Thomas on the hot areas though. Otherwise, nice shot.

Great Photo

The scenery is stunning and so is the light. I am particularly fond of the way the sky reflects off the water in patterns which are deformed, and make the image more dynamic and not just another flip-flpo reflection shot.

 

I seem to have problems with the wide-angle induced distorsions in the rocks to the bottome left. They seem to be exploding out of the screen toward the corner... is this an effect you were after?
