This scene is simply gorgeous - love the composition and muted color.  I'm afraid I would have had the young lady exit camera left in a hurry . . .

Yes... it's a toss up... landscape, or portrait piece... she does give the scene some scale in my opinion... but then possibly the trees do that on their own?

Frederick - My thought is that this landscape is so extraordinarily beautiful on its' own, that it needs no human presence, for scale or otherwise.  It is a great location for portraits as well though!
