It was even in the padded camera bag with it latched. Must have hit at

the perfect angle in between the pads. I just now found out about 5

minutes ago that the lens is fine, I think. The filter frame is bent,

so I am having a hard time unscrewing it, but I broke out all of the

glass and the lens glass is fine.Haven't tried taking a picture

through it yet. I just had to do the shame pic first, before trying to

remove it.:)

For a moment I thought it was a picture of my golden retriever, Maple, who is very mischievous and often appears with a slipper or sock or whatever in her mouth and looks at me like that!  Wonderful idea for a picture!

Ah - counter cruising at its' finest.  Heidi might say - "If you had left some cookies on the counter like you should have - I wouldn't have had to check out that hard round thing".

Thank god for filters!

Thank you all for your funny and nice comments. David, I actually left one of her balls on the counter behind this lens bag and I bet that is what she was after. It was that ball with teeth painted on it and she was scratching the teeth off, so I put it up so I could get one or two more shots with it. She has had free reign of the house with doggy doors since she was 3 months old and has chewed up nothing but a pair of shoes and one or two other little things, so this was very unlike her. Not counting the day before, that is. That day she pulled off a laptop bag that was in the same spot that had nothing but a pen and flash drives in it. She chewed it all up. If you look closely at her front right paw, you can still see the ink all over it. Thank goodness she ate the pen on the tile and not the carpet. I did skip two days in a row of taking her to the park for about 50 long retrieves. She got about 100 of them half an hour after I got home, just to make sure I got that excess energy burned off.

Scott  - Having raised 4 German Shorthairs from puppies, I know all about burning off excess energy.  Helps keep us in shape too right?

Throw an extra fifty balls for me tonight . . .
