You have captured a moment in time with wonderful technique.  You can almost hear the conversation and the intensity of the attention to one another. Hands add to the composition.  I really like your capture ... thank you for sharing with the PN community

Great scene Eystein, strong theme, perfect lighting, but i have strong objections on the post processing and mainly on this awful frame. Could you please share the original with us. I have the feeling it is a much much greater image.

Eystein what strikes me about this image are the priests hands. The hands show one talking and one listening. A great overall capture.

Thank you for interesting comments and point of view. This image is a small segment of a much larger, and I am aware that it is impossible to make it technically perfect. In this case it is not the most important thing either. The image looks like an old painting, and I even tried to put on a filter that would impose canvas. It did not work well enough, so I took it away. Instead I put on a frame, and then comes the next question: What's wrong with that? There are many photographers who are completely negative to frames, and I really don't understand why. Of course I would not used this kind of frames to all photos, but here I think it works. Why does ruin the image? I would not hang the picture on the wall without a frame and I do not see why a digital frame should have such dramatic effect. I almost always have a thin black frame on the photos I publish on PN. Does it reduce the quality? If so, why? Anyway, this is an interesting discussion.

Best regards Eystein

LOL, I didn't notice until viewing your larger image, but the Priest on the right is wearing Crocs.  The modern movement, I guess ;-)... Mike

Dear Eystein it all breaks down to personal taste after all. "One man's meal another man's poison" they say.
Keep up your photo-work the way it pleases you the most.

Take care,
Michalis

I appreciate your comments, positive and negative. Different points of view are always interesting. And I'm sorry I spelled your name wrong. I'll never do it again.

Best regards

Eystein
