Nice to hear from you again.  I was actually at my favourite birding spot in Collingwood when I heard a commotion in the river.  This was what I found when I investigated.  Watched for about a 1\2 hour.  These two would have filled your pan & fed eight people easily.  Best, Len.

A great series of images Len. The fish are actually quite beautiful and you've captured them very well. Especially when viewed larger. Great work.

My viewpoint was a bridge abutment at the shoreline.  These fish were about 20 ft. away.  Most wild animals are beautiful in their natural habitat.  It's a bonus when we can successfully capture this on film or digitally.  The spawning bed is that light area in the bottom right corner.  Looks like they are heading for another round of ecstasy.  And they did.  :-)

There's nothing wrong with your eyes.  The very clear water was only 2 or 3 inches deep, so their backs were indeed out of the water.  Quite a treat for my eyes.  Serendipity strikes again!  Best, Len.
