I just got back from two days in Tremblant and conditions were not favorable to 'special' photos. This slight glow showed up for about ten minutes  and I was fortunate to catch it. The first day was overcast then rain then overcast. The 2nd day constantly changed and never knew if it was going to rain or the sun would break out.  Tired and lots of images but they are not necessarily good.

That little dot in the bottom left is annoying.  I can feel your frustration.  Your keen observation of the conditions-- cloud/fog puffs and autumn colours-- have all the makings of something wonderful. Hopefully next week the prediction of the peak comes true!

Thanks. I will clone out that element for sure.  From this trip, because of the weather, I would describe most of the shots as moody. I did go down to the Diablo river and shoot some some slow shutter speed images of the rapidly moving water.  All the best,

Other than the small speck to somewhat distract, the remainder of this image is, to me, wonderfully natural.  Beauty is not always spectacular and I still find this scene beautiful... Mike

Reflection is the queen here! So subtle and smooth. The mist can also be seen in the sky, giving a watercolor like effect. Overall, this scene does remind of a fine watercolor.

Before you clone that back dot out, I was wondering what it is, USO (unidentified swimming object)?

I love this shot, I think the combinations of autumnal colour, mist and superb reflections are a winner.  Of course there are a lot of different variants that you may have tried if you had time, but a bit more of a crop top and bottom would make a lovely pano type image.

Nice work Tony!

Best Regards

Tony,

This is very nice, truly peaceful, taken from one of my favorite vantage points.  We crossed paths, just before the entrance, you were leaving and I was going in.  I haven't had an opportunity to process any of my images, however I know I have a picture taken from the same position catching the last rays of sun through a fleeting opening in the clouds.  However, typical of my style I was using a telephoto, I really like your wider perspective.

Tony,  It certainly looks like your trip was colorful, artistic, and fun.  Nice image.  I like the way you formatted this with balance of the sky and its reflection.   Larry

Mike - thanks for your input. I like the quiet beauty. I suspect that many would prefer more passionate colors which would have been easy to do but totally unrepresentative of what i saw.

Thanks. I have no idea what that black spot is. I did the

but I am confident that this is too small to be a loon. I also discovered a sensor dust spot on the right.

Glad you liked it and thanks for the suggestions. I did take a number of shots in this area but I liked this one the best.

Glad you liked it. What a shame that our paths crossed without chatting. I was really debating whether I should wait for sundown before taking that 2 hour drive. If I had delayed my departure, i am sure we would have met. My concern was after two days of getting up early and hiking around the park all day, I might risked it all to drive back in the dark when I was quite fatigued.

PS Looking forward to seeing your shots.

Maurizio - at one point I used to want an image to stand on its own without comments. However, I have to come to realize that comments are helpful to the viewer.

I liked the conditions that produced this scene.    I am greedy - I was hoping for a bit more but I worked with what I had.  Thanks for stopping by.
