I like this one a lot! One question: Did you intentionally crop the bottom portion?

Yes, I did. Thank you for your comments. I have  a different composition in my portfolio of  this eroded  beaches  with  dead  trees, where included all the tree. This  image not  the best of them, but, it  works too to me. The mass of the  tree anchored  to the  bottom for  more dramatic effect. IMHO.

Yes I went and looked your b&W portfolio. You have 3 dry trees standing, and all of them are so beautifully captured, (some one named it 3 witches :) ).

To me, this picture made an impression. It is not easy to make two stumps look so gorgeous. Anyone can shoot a good picture if the landscape is itself grand. It takes a great photographer to make simple things look grand!
