Disturbing and respectful documental piece. It really has an emotional load not easy to handle. I guess this makes it a great image.

A strong, traditional personality, shaped by hard work.  Somehow the speed of my internet connection doesn't seem as important when viewing this image.  Well done... Mike

A very strong and dramatic images that certainly tells a story. It allows you to try and imagine the kind of life this lady has had which I suspect had hardships with very little in a material way. What little I can see of her hands I think that she has used them well and for a long time. A classic image - one for all times. Make sure you put your name, and date it because in 50 or 100 years someone will be wondering about the great photographer who captured this slice of life.  If one road to eternity is circuitous, this image is more direct.
