You are right William, small size is not very flattering way to look at this image. But when seen large all the "little stories" along the fish benches can be clearly seen and we are in a way invited to feel the atmosphere of Catania fish market.

The exceptional quality of the image is a major factor to it. A photo i would have kept in my "Catania" photo-album.

In my version i have "sacrificed" that lovely balcony-parked bicycle just to emphasize on the market scene (and to get rid of the disturbingly bright sky), played a bit with brightness to bring up the "action" under the trends and finally i reduced the vibrance of the red color under the tend to give a more natural feeling.
