This jewel of architecture and historical monument was recently spared

from demolition as frost damage to the stone walls was threatening its

structural integrity;the community pitched in to extend its life.Thank

you for your comment-Laurent

Like the composition in this one, especially the yellow lines which contrast with the strong blue in the sky. However, you should probably avoid using a polariser on wide angle shots like this  - that is what is causing the dark patch in the sky. IMHO.....Regards, Erik

Thank you for looking in and for the observation.I know the banding in the sky is a direct product of using the circular polarizer on this WA lense and although it does not bother me,I appreciate it can be distracting and downright irritating to some.Glad you still like the shot.

Thank you for viewing and for the observation.I looked up the Van Gogh painting and it does have a similar POV.When approaching churches,we/I have a tendency to  be mesmerized by the steeples and often forget to look at the rear and sides which also have some very intricate and interesting features. The sun was good on this angle when I went by this day.The sky.....well,maybe Van Gogh had a built-in polarizer.
