Laurent,

I am glad you got those four stars in the background as well. When I took my moon shots I noticed the repetitive pattern in the stars behind the moon and spent some time worrying about a somehow messed up camera sensor. It's always amazing what can go around in ones head when everything happens in slow motion.

In other news: beautiful moon shot! I hope it was not too cold up north. After a few crisp fall nights we sat in the backyard again in our shorts enjoying the show.

We had a clear sky;somehow, our forcasters had announced the start of the creep for 8h30PM but it was not until 10h00 PM that it started and it was very spectacular especially with the red tint taking over.Somehow with all this time and the slow creep,I managed to mess up my shoot and the only salvageable shots were when the eclipse was complete like here and even at that, none were good enough to show any closer;I even missed one when a plane flew across.....well,in 2033,I will only be 89.

We were lucky to have a clear sky and Monique and I were able to witness this from our front varenda. It took almost two hours for the eclipse to be complete;I was tempted to stay up and see it disappear but it was already midnight and it was getting cold.

Thank you for the observation;I was not really aiming to include the stars but they showed up good in this shot. Not sure, but I think that these guys are part of the Big Dipper....too bad I am missing the tail stars.Anyhow,as I noted to Mike above,I really messed up my shoot in spite of perfect conditions...no excuses, but I should have reviewed my notes on moon shoots. It was cold and windy here and we had to dress up good as full eclipse happened around midnight.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
