cegeiss 6 Posted September 25, 2015 Nice composition. I like the diagonal front across the lake and the reflections in the water. The blues are always appealing to me. I just love that time of day. Looking at it large, I am a bit ambivalent about the heavy grain, but overall I appreciate the grittiness it gives to the image. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted September 25, 2015 Hanna, I agree with Christoph. Lovely blue time image that needs noise reduction. Larry Link to comment
hansdans 0 Posted September 25, 2015 Thank you for kind commenting Christoph and LarryThese views as appealing as they are always end up how to decide the grain:) Well, those pics/situations where the light is almost close to zero there are things you can adjust, and that is with PS or other post-processing programs. Before that that you can only choose the back - which I did, with best resultgiving ISO. Instead auto you should choose the ISO which gives you the sharpest images with your favorite lens for the task. Here it was the woigtländer 13mm wide angle. The Sony backs are useful - and when it is dark the 7s is best choice, with which you can actually even explore the surroundings. This time it was available and the shot was made with auto iso, which is good as well, considering that there was no visible light. I am not so concerned about the grain as the color is more important for me with this combo. This combo delivers good blues. Most of the credit goes to the lens of course, as Sony is just starting it's journey in providing digibacks. Most of the time I have been content with the results; 7R and especially 7s are good mix if you want to use your old high end lenses (Leice series, Contax, Zeiss, Voigtländer, etc) with Novoflex adapters.
