The horizontal log caught in these trees is a result of the recent

flooding of this woods, which was about 10 feet under water a year

ago. It is a woods that is adjacent to the Mississippi, and it is

part of the flood plain. This particular log has undergone two floods

in recent years. It used to be diagonal until this last flood.
