black and white Cottonwood-falls

Am I correct to assume this is a B&W HDR, or possibly an exposure blend?  I ask this because while I find the scene lovely, the overall lack of contrast leaves my eyes fighting for something to focus on.  I very much enjoy the soft greys you have achieved, however the lack of contrast between the shades makes it hard to discern the depth of the landscape.  I would be tempted to darken the shadows just a tad and see if that makes the image punch a little more.  Beautiful landscape, thank you for sharing!        

Nicely done HDR image.  Agree with the prior comment that a little bit more contrast might improve the image.  Great image though.
