Middle Rock

I like this image Mark, particularly the colours and texture, especially the texture. It has something otherworldly about it, the rocks in the foreground like a giant beast rising out of the water. I would have lost the horizon in order to have made more of this aspect and to detach the image further from reality. One question, the rocks top right look very soft, even more so than the clouds in the far distance. Is this a quirk of processing, or just soft edges from a wide lens wide open? 

It is clearly the processing that affects the clouds and rocks but the rocks will have a lot more detail and look softer whereas the clouds generally have very little detail and in my opinion  will not look as soft.
