This appeals to me quite a bit. It finds a comfortable niche between actuality as a natural life form and pure abstraction.

I spotted this while walking the deserted beach;the tide had left the marine grass with this funny design which then picked up the blowing sand.In messing around with the saturation curve,this popped up strangely looking like the pre-historic etchings seen some cavern walls or some fossils as you note..

Thank you my friend.It is easy to observe when the beaches are deserted now that summer vacation time is over and the temperatures have started to drop.
