Saadsalem 74 Posted September 12, 2015 Great photo that looks as a total failure ,(please do pardon me ). The composition is a great one regarding the the wall, the corner of the wall , and her who is the main theme of this image ,but the light is totally gone wrong in this as I said great composition, her dress and back is about ninety per sent blown up with no any details, and her face on the other two thirds of the composition which should be lightened , is looking dark and with noise/JPG artifact ,I just feel very sorry for this great image to look in this shape. If it was mine I would repeat it a thousand time till I would get the result I want. color 3 Posted September 12, 2015 I agree with you that there are areas that could be improved in this image (artifacts), but this is the look I wanted it to have. I like grainy, dramatic, high contrast b&w images and sometimes I process my images to have that look. That's what I did here. Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted September 13, 2015 I found this a lovely image, evocative, charming. Far from being a failure, it fascinates my eyes. I like the lighting, it might not be the best lighting for portraying all of the detail of the image, but it's beautiful artistry and I love the sheer white of the dress, the girl hovering between dark and light. It works for me and works well. Link to comment
