These boats leave the safe haven of the wharf to venture out for one

last time this season as the herring quota will be filled with the

night's catch.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Thank you my friend. This last night out was good and in calm waters;the night before, one of these boats with a full load(100 barrels) of herring was caught by a sudden storm at 2h30 AM and sank as it was getting close to home base.Fortunately, another boat closeby saw the mayday flare and arrived in time to pick up the crew just as the boat was disappearing under water. And this is how it is on that big sea as you well know my sailor friend.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent

Sad story of these unlucky men Laurent...fortunately they are alive and I believe they will go back again to the sea in the next season...fisherman life is like that, dangerous and sometimes ungrateful, but the sea always "call" very strongly...it's hard to resist...Best regards my friend!

You are right. In interview, the captain/owner said he would try to raise his boat out of the relatively shallow bottom otherwise,he is already looking at getting a new boat built.

Salutations amicales-Laurent
