The lone gull has a ''bird's view'' on the herring boats tightly

parked at wharf.Thank you for your comment-Laurent

Laurent, there is so much going on here I had to enlarge and then search for a gull.  I do like the colors, but I would personally crop out the top half of the image and somehow work with a tighter shot.  Just my opinion, of course!  Regards.

Thank you for looking in and for the pertinent observation. As you note, there is a lot going on here,a cluttered scene where different crops as you suggest can yield images to taste. When I spotted the gull in PP,I decided to keep it and in doing so,I avoided cutting the top of the masts while keeping some space over the bridge which I use freely as backdrop to many of my shots here....but,had the gull not been there, the crop might have been tighter.

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent

Of course they always pick the best POV to spot any leftover fish on the decks.Always appreciate your input on these scenes my friend.

Thank you kindly and the pleasure is all mine to share the way of life here.As I noted to Joao on another post, this was taken just before the boats rigged up to leave for the last night outing of the herring season. The night before, the boats got caught in a sudden storm and one sank as it was nearing its home wharf with a full load;luckily, another boat responded to the mayday flare in time to pick up the crew as the boat was disappearing under.

Meilleures salutations-Laurent
