Larger view preferred. Standing on the beach one can literally see

continuous changes as the water sculpts its designs with each wave that

meets the shore. Can you share this experience with me in this image?

Thanks for your comments. Larry

Wonderful tonal range, textures and forms. I like it in BW. Well done!

Do you mind telling me what aperture you used?

Hi Tony,   Thanks for the timely visit to this image.  I have been using Nik Software's Efex2 Pro for B&W conversions.  I like the tool they have for checking all 10 gray zones that is an overlay of the histogram    I actually captured this image with my handheld Lumix.  I used f 8.0 at 1/320th of a second, ISO 250.  I went back and checked the metadata.   Thanks for the visit and compliment.

Thanks Larry. When I looked at the sky in the larger view I was wondering if you had stopped down to an f22 aperture thus getting some digital diffraction. All the best

Hi Larry- Three cheers for nature, a wonderful work of a very unique seascape. You have captured the ruggedness very well Have been pondering the wave motion in the foreground, with s shutter speed of 1/320 at the amount of wave travel in the foreground, something to think about on our cold winter nights. The reason I have not been posting images is Father Time is catching up to me..Am now in my 89th. year & must accept a slowing down Altho Vi & I are in good health which I believe is due to the years of hiking & backpacking..Have enough images to review & improve on to last years & we will make short trips in our area Have rambled long enough so will close for now.Best Wishes to You & Yours-Ross

Hi Ross,   Happy New Year to you and Vi.  Keep them coming in good health.  I appreciate your comments on this image.  I am finding that photographing locally has much to offer as we have the advantage of time and knowledge of the surroundings with light, etc.  I appreciate your connection.  Let's stay in touch.  Larry

Lovely composition, layers and balance, like the overall tonal range and the way you lead us into the picture. Excellent image.
