The simplicity of the vertical and the brightness of the climbing vine against the darker tones of the trunk and the surrounding forest are what really distinguishes this picture. I really like the strong and very direct composition here.

Thanks Jack.  These vines go way up the tree, and I tried a shot from farther back, but the details became too small.  Some Fall yellowing is already apparent.
