As I was working on this image, the horse's eye started to have the

appearance of 'fear'. I decided to go with this and do an Abstract.

Whether it be a horse or human, when we do experience Fear, quite

often our minds are filled with angst and confusion. (your thoughts

are appreciated and welcomed, hope most are enjoying a good

weekend, :)Gail)

Very interesting conception and an artistic variation. How wonderful to be able to make such a transformation, rendering a quite "concrete abstract". The choice of colors is very pleasing. Nicely done.

This is very interesting. I'd say you definitely named this one right. I think this is an image that you could look at for a long time and see many things in it. Very creative.

Cool abstract, Gail. I would not have recognized the horse eye, but I see lots of other things in there. The colors drew me in, and then you just can't stop looking. I love it!

I totally agree with Daniels assessment Gail. You've brought this to life with great color and still maintained a tie with the fear emotion via the eye, (I'd recognize that horses' eye anywhere). Great work.

Best Always,  Holger

My God, Gail. I hope this doesn't represent your current inner state. Having said that, a powerful if slightly threatening image.. I can't help but think there's a creature hidden here that has one big eye fastened on me.

I don't know if you read what I had entered under the image Jack, was an image of a horse, actually one that I had posted and decided to try some Photoshop brushes etc. on it and ended up changing the color. Posting original so you can see that this does not represent my 'current state'.....Yes I like to post beautiful flowers etc., but sometimes I step out of my own comfort zone :)

A horse? - fantastic visualization! I like your choice of colour palette and texture treatment. Hope it's not an apocalyptic horse!

Great work Gail! The title is expressed very well in this image. I can feel an emotional impact viewing which is what I consider a great success.

Best Regards,

Peter

Gail : Must be my mind set. Before I read the comments I was seeing aliens. A well worked and effective image, the blue tone fits it perfectly. Rgds. Rick

It's a nice one, Gail.  The colors spell darkness, the many circles resemble bullet holes and the lines go everywhere -- so discordant --  a lot working in opposing and random positions pulling each its own way, much like the noise of a city at dusk when one has a migraine.

Thanks so much for your thoughts on this one.  You really have an interesting take on it.  What appears to be bullet holes are 'ink splashes'. I found they added a lot of different detail to the composition. It's kind of odd when you start out with no real 'plan' and it sort of sorts itself out on it's own.

I didn't even see them until you mentioned it. I guess if you stared at it for very long you might see so many things. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one :)

nope, no 'end of the world' thoughts here......the horse emerged from layers, textures, PS brushes, changes in blend modes and Hues.  I think if we took any normal photo of a person and chose a 'Difference' blend mode in layers, things get pretty freaky looking.  I did not use 'Difference' but it goes to show what the blend modes can do re changing a composition.

You started things off here, so sorry to be so long in getting back to you.  I noticed your comment shortly after posting but I had to sign off.  It really is odd what you can come up with when you experiment. Sincere thanks for dropping by.

Maybe I have been looking at your 'rock art' too long??? except the Rock Art is truly magnificent!!! Our imaginations really take over when we stare at something for very long!

Sincere thanks each one for sharing your individual thoughts on this composition. I'm never really sure whether to post at first....always wonder if it is too weird...many thanks for your visits!

you just made from one photo one piece of art. The choose of the tones blue are great and also in combination with black, one new dimension in creativity.
