An excellent capture. I really feel for the folks in the boat. It can't be much fun setting out (or returning) for a Regatta when it is raining. Good detail and colour captured Nebojsa!

Yeah, it was really miserable but luckily it was warm and regatta field was shortened since it would last forever...

Shta se vlada tiche - nisam imao ideju da na ovim nashim prostorima ima toliko nesposobnih ljudi zheljnih vlasti...ova slika zapravo sugerira sudbinu nashih obichnih ljudi koji che sve napraviti i po kishi i po snijegu i ne znam kakvoj ljutoj nevolji, a nagrada? - chast da si sudjelovao...

Many thanks - official title of regatta is "For the soul and body" (Za dushu i tilo) so it doesn't matter what weather condition is - they are all for fun and pleasure here...but it was miserable (no wind no fun)...

As for the rowing part of the picture, point is that boats with a latin sail have to use the row to make the turn, windy or not...of course, with a little amount of wind the turn will be faster...

Wonderful shot of a vintage double ender in what looks like a dead calm on a rainy day. No fun for anyone (especially the crew!) But there is much charm about the boat and generations of this lifestyle. Nice shot!

Many thanks - these old traditional wooden boats and these kind of regattas started more than 10 years ago with a few boats - nowadays we have about 10 regattas and more than 100 boats participating which means that a job and a knowledge of building of this kind of boats  is saved from extinction (at least for a while...) since more and more boats are build every year...and these people really love their boats...
