Beautiful early morning shot Lannie. This fenced in field reminds me of the horse farms here in Ontario. Beautiful POV during the early hours. Was the fog coming off the land from humid temps or cool ones??  We have had it terribly humid here.

Thanks, Gail.  This was caused by heavy rains the night before, followed by radiational cooling (loss of heat into space after the storms collapsed and the skies partially cleared)--that is, an excess of humidity followed by temperatures overnight falling by radiation to the dewpoint, which was above seventy degrees.

It has been our usual August soup, but finally we got some rain out of it.  The humidity is expected to abate somewhat today.  It has been with us most of August--very prolonged dog days, and very oppressive.  The extremely high humidity will come back now and again throughout the hurricane season this far south.  I am sure that your humidity will end soon.

Thanks for the explanation Lannie.  We are cooler now, but it has been known to stay humid for a few weeks more. Hard to tell. I remember when we went to visit Mike  Palermiti and Betsy in Nov. of 2013.  One day I was leaving their place to go back to the hotel and it was so humid that I could not figure out how to keep the windows clear.  Normally I know how, but had never experienced such oppressive humidity before.  I drove back with the fan on high, windows open, a storm was literally in my rear view window - I will never forget that drive back to the Hotel.  I hope you don't get any bad hurricanes. Sounds like Danny is petering out.

Thanks, Gail.  I lived in Florida for nine years, and, yes, it can be quite oppressive for very long periods of time.  I hope that your weather stays good.

As for us, the forests are lush here, but the price we pay is the humidity.
