Tm,

Love this shot.  Perfect lighting.  BTW, my office was 2-blocks from this location.  I flew from London to Paris every Wednesday for a couple of years in mid-90's.  No time for photography in those days.  Had to wait until I retired in 2000.

Thanks Bill! You are killing me ... LOL!  I know what you mean though. I've been shooting for around 40 years (classes, darkroom at home, B&W, color ..ect) on /off but not until I got back and into digital photography (first was only to record my only son growth/progress in 2000)  that I am shooting more like daily.

Thanks Mr. Mancil!  We came over to Paris from London through the Chunnel and it's nice compares to the old day of catching the ferry at Dover, England and ride the rough sea to Calais. Run around all day, had a costly (supposely French) dinner (with Escargot & Foie Gras ...ect) and was treated with this wonderful view afterward when on the way to the hotel. A great welcome to France!

Nice shot TmJ! This place is full of history, and always full of people and traffic and is one of my favorites in Paris. I've walked many times this long avenue (I use to go to Paris one week every year in April and I always try to find a hotel near this place) and it's always a pleasure to be there! Best regards!

Muito Abrigado Joao! I was very lucky with the weather that day to see this place in such lighting condition.
