Bill J Boyd 64,576 Posted August 19, 2015 Tm, I like this POV a lot. This may be the first time I have actually seen the interior. I used to drive by the Colosseum a lot when I was working near Rome in the mid-90's, but have never been inside. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted August 19, 2015 Thanks Bill! I envy you Bill .. .work in Rome .... :-) . It's amazing that this existed 2,000 years ago but then it's all cheap labor (slavery) that did it. Then the entertaintment that follows can be gruesome as well. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted August 20, 2015 Dang, this place has gotten run down since my younger days when I had to run from the lions! ;-) As Bill said, we don't see many wide angle shots of the interior and this gives us a splendid feel for the whole expanse. The tourist give great scale... Mike Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted August 20, 2015 Thanks Mr. Mancil! I've learnt from my first trip 19 years ago and brought my fisheye lens this time. Even my other widest lens, a Sigma 12-24mm would not be able to get this place like this. Only a fisheye with 180 degree view would do. LOL, you have to kill the lion to be set free Mr. Mancil .. those Romans must love war since that their way of getting cheap labor. Link to comment
