Griswold Point

This scene and capture gives me a relaxed feeling and a desire to sit under that tree.

Thank you Tony. That was the intent of the image, and I am happy that comes across.

I visited the point on a warm summer day as part of a geology field trip, so we were busy looking at soils and beach deposits, but the peacefulness of he meadow and the old trees was stunning, especially when compared to the  properties a mile up or down the coast.

This is maybe the fifth rendition of the image as I struggled over the weeks afterwards to get the colors "right".

Hah, I didn't have stripes in mind, but you are absolutely correct.

The scene is really quite peaceful. I imagine on that hot day it was a welcome sight. Your efforts paid off and you have an image that represents 'the calm' in the midst of a busy day that I think most of us can relate to and would appreciate. The lovely canopy of the tree frames the shot well.
