Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted August 11, 2015 Large view available. Weather along the St. Lawrence River - looks more like a sea here - did change every five minutes as we drove from Montreal to Quebec City. Your comments are appreciated and valued. Larry Link to comment
hansdans 0 Posted August 11, 2015 Larry - beautiful documentation and composition with subtle toning. A series would not harm:) Very calming and serene view in any case (I am a storm fan as you know:)) Link to comment
cegeiss 6 Posted August 11, 2015 Larry,I agree with Hannu, it's an impressive image with great, subtle tomes. It has a dramatic, yet calming effect. When looking at the enlarged version I find two small details a bit distracting: the seagull and brown speck in the foreground and the small dark speck at the horizon. If it was my image I might clone those out. In any case, a beautiful photograph. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted August 12, 2015 Hanna and Christoph, Thanks for your comments, I appreciate your views as this image is a crop of a larger one with a small beach and more foreground water, which I found a bit distracting. As for the bird, I kind of thought it added interested, almost asked, "find the bird." I will fix the horizon spot and will reconsider cloning out the bird. Many thanks.Larry Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted August 12, 2015 The sky may be with no noise at all and the applying of the Topaz DeNoise5 wouldn't harm the clouds! Cheers PDE Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted August 13, 2015 Hi Pierre, Thanks for your visit and comment. I actually prefer the noise that is in the sky. I think noise in clouds adds depth and definition, which noise reduction softens. I use two noise reduction programs, Nik Software's Dfine2 and Imagenomic. Thanks again, Pierre. Larry Link to comment
