Coming in for a Landing (please view large)

I haven't had much success shooting birds, but I was determined to get a decent

picture of these osprey at Salmon Arm Wharf. I liked the interaction between the 2

osprey in this shot, tho' I know it would have been better if I had gotten the entire bird

in flight.

If birds can have expression, these do.  Landing guy is totally concentrating on the runway and the other one appears to be wondering if he's going to make it.  Well, that's my interpretation ;-).  I think you timed it well.... Mike

Still a great capture. I think I would have tried my best to see what I could get regardless. Good for you! You managed to get some decent detail in their faces and feathers and I can sure see those talons!!
