Thanks. That's just the color of this particular cham. He is normally reddish, but he does change quite a bit. It's a pretty popular misconception that chameleons change color to mimic their surroundings. Their mood is what affects their color. This guy gets super excited and fires up whenever he sees my puppy, Heidi. Here's a pic I took of him last month with my phone. I had him outside getting some natural sunlight and he was on that same branch I posted above that is attached to a tripod. Later on, after spending 30 minutes looking for him I found him in my fig tree.
