The road trip took seven hours from Orange County in CA expecting to

shoot stars here at Mono Lake. However a rain drizzle along the way was

an ominous sign that there was never going to be a clear evening.

Instead, storm clouds greeted us when we reached this wonderful location

providing enough drama to the skies and the south tufas at the lake.

Thanks for your visit. Please view image large and I appreciate your

comments and ratings.

This time the circumstances including the lighting has changed and this one looks fantastic!

Best regards, Kester!

A deft hand with this image. You take a location that's been shot many times and come up with a unique and pleasing result. It's the little adjustments and care that makes this a quality photo !!I The contrast of sky and tufa spires makes the composition.

There has always been (at least for me) a certain kind of 'magic' in your images. You have such a wonderful mindset when it comes to the beautiful affect of 'light' in your seascapes.  This image is so beautiful as far as my eye can see. When I view it the work 'Jewel' comes to mind. It is so good to see you back Lester. I could always come to your Portfolio to find a 'visual treat' that always 'made my day'. (deserves much more than I can give)

fond regards, Gail

We stayed here till it was dark and so nice to have documented this place in different lighting conditions. Thanks - LESTER

Thank you for your observations. I guess any photographer who comes out here and takes a crack wishes to make a different rendition of a most-commonly photographed location. I am glad you liked my interpretation. - LESTER

From the three it is this one I like most. I think a darker processing would increase the storm feeling. Hope this s helpful. Karl
