Thank you for viewing and comments!

I am not sure about the species of this Ibis it looks as a olive ibis but it is more as a glossy.... the ibis colors can be exposed only at bright sun light and not at every angle,I'd be happy to have a comment about that

Many regards! Hanan

Dear Hanan, I've never seen before in nature, in situ... an ibis and I've been reading a bit about them.

First of all, just say that this shot seems magnificent to me, back perspective of the animal has great elegance.

Blur background is perfect to highlight his silhouette, it looks lovely and foreground grass, focused and unfocused depends on the closeness or distance is... an extra. Very good use of depth of field.

As you say many colors can be seen in feathers, the predominant variety is olive / black color. Their peak is very striking.

Considering that what I like about birds is their chant, above all, I tried to hear it singing. It seems like a trumpet !, ha ha ha

Like a bicycle horn, mec, mec mec ... it's lovely ... here I leave this link to audio of their chant in case anyone wants to know how it sounds. Best heard about minute 0:23. Some call them "clock" because they sing very early in the morning.

Colors are amazing. Very good sharpness, focus and good use of light. Congrats Hanan

תמונה מרהיבה!

Kindest regards, Laura

Very beautiful Hanan! Ibis are not easy to photograph since the plumage colours changes with lighting. Very sharp bird with good pose and colours against a nicely blurred bacground. TFS!

I would clone out that bit of vegetation on the right :-)

A very nice portrait of this bird with a beautiful iridescent plumage, For me this bird seems a juvenils aspect of the Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus) , ciao Giangiorgio

Many thanks Laura,Tm j. and Giangiorgio for your wonderful detailed comments!

Laura - you are unbeatable even at comments you make,i really admire your good will and attention. Anyway the most common ibis seen in israel is the brown one.i think they sounds different.by the way - Ibis was known as a kind of god in ancient egipt....

Tm j - i appreciate very much your evaluations and I hope always to have it, as it helps a lot and you are right about the grass on the right,I was a bit sloppy.

Giangiorgio - thank you so much for encouragement comments,i think you right about the juvenile glossy because of the white marks on head and neck...I appreciate very much your attention!

Many regards! Hanan
