thomas_breazeale1 0 Posted October 7, 2003 The symmetry of this composition is superb and the sky is killer! The grasses seem a bit low on contrast and I might have cropped more from the bottom...but still a great image. Link to comment
michael_ritchie 0 Posted October 7, 2003 Brilliant! It took my breath away I especially love the sky. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted October 8, 2003 The foreground really adds to the drama. I can really respect a photograper who is in the field and set up before sunrise! cheers~great photo! md Link to comment
agaudio 0 Posted October 8, 2003 Your landscape photos are amazing. I have been following most of the posts you have been making with your images and each one gets better than the next. The thing I like the most with this image is are the delicate curves in the water and the extremely moody sky. It all fits together to make this excellent image!!! Link to comment
brianhamill 0 Posted October 8, 2003 This is stunning. I've followed your posts not only here but also on a competing website. The consistent strength of your shots in composition, sharpness and colour is remarkable. This is an excellent example. Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted October 8, 2003 Great tone and mood. I like the way the water.. and in fact the whole foreground directs the viewer to the dark clouds at the right. Very well done!! Link to comment
randy_january 0 Posted October 9, 2003 Excellent composition. The foreground is interesting, the lighting is perfect, and the sky is very dynamic. Great shot. Link to comment
carol_watson 0 Posted October 15, 2003 This is a beautiful shot! The curves, soft colors of the muddy water in contrast to the harsh dramatic sky, the clarity in the native grasses all make this spectacular! Definitely my favorite so far from your portfolio. These keep getting better and better, so I'm sure a new favorite is just lurking around the corner waiting to make it's way from your camera through the ether... Link to comment
samuel_parker 0 Posted October 15, 2003 I admire all of your work, Dave. This is definately among your best. Link to comment
canoe guide 0 Posted October 18, 2003 i would love to see you choose what you consider to be your best 5 - 6 images. your portfolio has a lot of "raw" imagery in it. it almost seems like a contact sheet. make a new portfolio called "my best", and do an edit. could be nice. Link to comment
davidweaverphoto 3 Posted December 23, 2003 A shot that I would have sought out! Nothing more to add other than great portfolio! Link to comment
dantalpau 0 Posted August 20, 2005 hi Dave. You have terific landscapes. Everyone and each of them are great. Composition, lights, DOF, colors, tones ... just perfect. Impressive. Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted September 17, 2005 I think I'd mirror the sky so that the lighter part is on the right. The natural movement is left to right, but that movement ends abruptly at the horizon when it gets dark. Link to comment
g3 0 Posted June 30, 2007 Brilliant composition and colors. I would just love to sit on the sand of this river's bank :) Link to comment
