ray.koushik 0 Posted July 7, 2015 ... and not the critic? are you sure? ... well perhaps ... who would erect a statue of a critic in the first place? nice rendition. compliments -koushik Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted July 7, 2015 Thank you, Ruud! Thank you, Koushik! A critic may be a bon vivant, but not a statue, ha! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment
maria 7 Posted July 7, 2015 playing with symmetry and not ...I found nice the white pavement, looks like sand Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted July 7, 2015 Ha, ha! Maria, I always wanted that texture to look like sand and it represents sand on many of my so called "desert pictures", and now you found it look like both, pavement and sand! Conclusion: Good universal texture! Thank you PDE Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 264 Posted July 8, 2015 Welcome and thank you, Jim and Holger! Yes, Jim, I put the trees there because otherwise the image would have been too flat! They are coming towards us, Holger! They don't go nowhere, just a social promenade! PDE Link to comment
morophaenixmau 19 Posted July 9, 2015 Bellissima!!! Apprezzo gli uomini di cultura ma forse è meglio per chi si diverte nella vita!!! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted July 9, 2015 Sono assolutamente d'accordo, Maurizio! Per essere un bon vivant si sente forse meglio, ma dobbiamo fare attenzione dell'aldilà troppo, ah! grazie Pietro il filosofo della vita e della morte Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted July 11, 2015 My senility and insufficiency of caffeine don't allow me to identify the gentlemen these statues portray. Yet, their styles of clothing lead me to think that they are from different periods of time, which makes the dialogue they may wish to have an interesting proposition. For the moment, they are content to walk together. The leafless trees in the background, to me, symbolize the lifestyles each of these people may have had - - dead and gone. Writers in our world are not respected for their craft and for their efforts alone; they are respected for how many dollars, euros, etc., their work earns. Alas . . . there are days I long to be a statue. My best always, michael Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted July 13, 2015 Hey, Michael! Maybe the two on the picture belong only to different lifestyles, not to very different epochs! Thank you for your thorough contemplative study of my picture! I wish to be a tree, they last long and see everything... PDE Link to comment
